When Clean Fleet Report first reviewed the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid in 2017, it was the only electrified minivan on the market. The Pacifica Hybrid does not have a Level 3/DC fast charger capability.

The Model Y qualifies for the full $7,500 federal EV tax credit. At the moment, the Mach-E only qualifies for half of the federal EV tax credit, providing eligible drivers a credit of up to $3,750. The Chevy Bolt EUV also qualifies for the full $7,500 federal EV tax credit. The other upside? Volkswagen ID.4

VW quotes a maximum charging rate of 170 kilowatts, and DC fast charging from 10 to 80 percent of battery capacity in about 20 minutes (under ideal circumstances). That puts it in the company of the VW New Beetle, the Mini Cooper, and perhaps the Chrysler PT Cruiser and Chevrolet HHR.

Engineering proptypes enjoy a tax break. Companies can not sell engineering prototypes in which the company got R&D tax breaks in developing the product.
