So far Israel, Denmark, Australia , Hawaii and California’s Bay Area have plans to implement the Better Place model. At current transportation battery prices, that is well beyond the cost of spinning reserve. This may be the lowest cost energy storage solution just because we are going to make the batteries anyway.
