Nissan has installed 1,000 CHAdeMO quick chargers in Europe. Nissan says that the installation of the quick chargers significantly increases the uptake and usage of electric vehicles. The rate of installation of CHAdeMO quick chargers across Europe rose sharply in 2013, increasing access for Nissan LEAF customers.

Last week, news hit that Volkswagen, Renault, and Stellantis were weighing possibly joining together to make cheaper electric vehicles – fearing it’s their only option. Partnering with Renault could be a viable option to get a new version of the e-Up electric minicar and the Skoda Citigo and Seat Mii up and running, the report said.

Mobility company Transdev , through its subsidiary Proxiway, which specializes in car sharing, has launched, in partnership with the Toshiba group, an innovative car sharing service using solar energy and quick-charge points in the eco-district of La Confluence, Lyon, France. The project will run for two years until December 2015.
