Nissan has installed 1,000 CHAdeMO quick chargers in Europe. Nissan says that the installation of the quick chargers significantly increases the uptake and usage of electric vehicles. The rate of installation of CHAdeMO quick chargers across Europe rose sharply in 2013, increasing access for Nissan LEAF customers.

Transdev and Toshiba launch electric car sharing system utilizing solar power in Lyon, France

Mobility company Transdev , through its subsidiary Proxiway, which specializes in car sharing, has launched, in partnership with the Toshiba group, an innovative car sharing service using solar energy and quick-charge points in the eco-district of La Confluence, Lyon, France. UK Govt identifies first 9 electric drive vehicles eligible for grants of up to 5K

The first nine electric drive cars to become eligible for the Plug-in Car Grant of up to £5,000 (US$7,900) in the UK are: Mitsubishi iMiEV; smart fortwo electric drive; Peugeot iON; Citroen CZero; Nissan Leaf; Tata Vista EV; Toyota Prius Plug-in; Vauxhall Ampera and Chevrolet Volt.
