Toyota Australia appears certain to add a petrol-electric hybrid to the new-generation Prado 250 Series SUV line-up as soon as this year. The eagerly anticipated new heavy-duty large off-roader launches mid-2024 with an updated mild hybrid version of its predecessor 150 Series’ 2.8-litre litre turbo-diesel engine.

I bought the Tesla Model 3 SR+ in June 2021 so this would be a real get to know the car and charging options in August/September 2021. The first thing I did was to look at the Plug Share app to see where we could charge and calculate distances. The trip required some careful planning as some areas we went to have no chargers.
