In short, I’m predicting what I call the “overcharging of America.”.

Some of those units are being paid for by a California Energy Commission grant to upgrade existing Avcon charging stations across California. What's the problem?

California-based Coulomb Technologies makes the program’s ChargePoint chargers, which were shipped to 130 customers in 2009.

I wrote back in December about my unhappy experience attempting to charge my loaner LEAF at San Francisco City Hall's electric car charging stations. It's city, state and federal policy to enable electric cars for the emissions and petroleum reduction they provide. The situation is similarly bleak in Southern California.
