Cadillac has revealed an entry EV for the GM luxury brand that doesn’t seem so entry-level in size, technology, or price. The 2025 Cadillac Optiq is set to cost about $54,000 including destination when it arrives later this year with a range of around 300 miles, according to Cadillac. Honda believes the Prologue hits the “sweet spot” of the electric SUV market at the right price. After kicking off production of its first global electric SUV in February, the Honda Prologue began hitting US dealerships in March. With the $7,500 EV tax credit, the 2024 Honda Prologue price falls as low as $39,900 (without destination).

The 2024 Acura ZDX is the Honda premium brand’s first-ever electric vehicle, a midsize crossover SUV with five seats. Named after a low-volume Acura SUV sold from 2010 to 2013, the new ZDX is actually built by General Motors and rides on that company’s Ultium EV platform—as does the related Honda Prologue from Acura’s parent brand.
