A 61kWh lithium-ion battery pack provides the juice. Logical opposition for the Chery Omoda E5 will be led by rivals from China, the BYD Atto 3 and MG ZS EV. These new platforms are intended to produce 18 battery-electric vehicles and five hybrids in the coming years. Standard equipment includes a 12.3-inch 2024 Chery Omoda E5.

BYD , for examples, says their 60 mile range-extended vehicle can add 30 miles of range in ten minutes. Of course, EVs that arent designed for battery swaps wont use it, and plug-in hybrids wont need it. They have several stations already built and plan on thousands more. One of the main drawbacks to charge stations is speed.

Thats short-sighted.
