Kia Corporation has begun to lay the groundwork for its innovative Purpose-Built Vehicle (PBV) business, partnering with cold chain startup ‘S.lab Asia Inc.’ to break into Singapore’s last-mile delivery market. It is currently building a logistics network that will sell and distribute fresh products to Korea and Southeast Asia.

The new affordable Kia EV3 and EV4 models are ready for production following the brand’s first EV plant upgrade. Once up and running, the site will exclusively build EVs, including Kia’s new entry-level models. Kia’s plant, which used to make the Pride and Stonic vehicles, is now designed to produce its next-gen EVs.

Hyundai Motor Group (HMG) entered into an agreement with the State of Georgia to build its first dedicated full electric vehicle and battery manufacturing facilities in the US. Through the battery manufacturing facility, the Group also aims to establish a stable supply chain and build a healthy EV ecosystem in the US.
