Their hot-selling models—the Baojun 510, Buick GL8 and Cadillac XT5—stood out in the fast-growing SUV, MPV and luxury segments, which accounted for about half of GM’s March sales. engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Group (SAIC) launched SAIC’s Shanghai Brand Fuel Cell Vehicle, powered by GM’s fourth-generation fuel cell propulsion technology. The vehicle from SAIC uses the same 700 bar high-pressure hydrogen fuel cell system adopted in the Chevrolet Equinox Fuel Cell. Ten Shanghai Brand Fuel Cell Vehicles will be built.

Buick will adopt GM’s proven extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) technology, a new-generation of 1.0T/1.3T Ecotec engines and a nine-speed transmission in new or refreshed models launched in China this year. In EREV mode, which leverages an on-board engine, the range increases to an estimated 700 km (435 miles).
