General Motors said that it will offer all of its Buick franchise dealers in the U.S. In June 2022, Buick announced plans to go all-electric by 2030 starting with a crossover SUV in 2024. “So if they want to exit the Buick franchise, then we will give them monetary assistance to do so,” he said.

Sales of General Motors crossovers and trucks, which include pickups, vans and SUVs, surged by double-digits in July, pushing combined sales for the year to 1,048,114 through July. Large non-luxury SUVs were up 25% in July, and they are up 15% year to date. Including the Cadillac Escalade, SUV sales are up 32%.
