At a press conference in Shanghai, General Motors Chairman and CEO Mary Barra said that the company will introduce at least 10 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in China. By 2025, nearly all models from GM’s global brands in China—Buick, Cadillac and Chevrolet—will offer electrification technology.

At GM’s 2 nd Annual Global Business Conference for investors and financial analysts today in Detroit, the company said that it planned to cut vehicle architectures and engine platforms by 50%—from 30 in 2010 to 14 by 2018.
