In the course of five model generations, overall sales of the BMW 5 Series have reached more than 5.5 The new BMW 5 Series Sedan is making its debut with one eight-cylinder and three six-cylinder gasoline engines as well as two six-cylinder diesels.

While alternative powertrains still represent a small percentage of market share compared to gasoline engines, the report noted, clean diesels saw a 10% increase in 2014 sales over 2013 sales, while hybrids saw a 10% decrease, pure electrics saw a 20% increase and compressed natural gas saw a 33% decrease. We spent a week in the smallest Genesis sedan that is designed to take-on the BMW 3-series and Mercedes-Benz C-class sports sedans and found it was a lot of well-engineered car for the money. The mpg ratings are for city/highway/combined. RWD we drove 225 miles through Southern California, averaging 24 mpg. Power Options.

The fuel economy, which is best in Touring mode, is rated by the EPA at 24 mpg city/29 highway/26 combined mpg. mpg, same as the EPA. We were pleased to cross the 30 mpg mark and surpass the EPA 29 mpg rating by so much. General Motors has announced a commitment to 30 new global electric vehicles by the year 2025.
