In recent testimony, Nuvve CEO Gregory Poilasne told the lawmakers that bidirectional charging can reduce the total cost of EV ownership, and that it’s essential for integrating more renewable energy into the grid. That’s about two thirds of the leasing cost of a LEAF nowadays.

Ones to watch include the upcoming BMW i4 and recently announced Kia EV6, but you can’t buy one of those yet.

So it started compelling us to look in certain areas, and we arrived at LAX [Los Angeles International Airport]. The first phone call I made when we energized our first chargers was to Los Angeles World Airports [aka LAWA, the owner and operator of LAX]. Around LAX right now we have over 400 fleets that are qualified.
