Umicore is actively working with cell manufacturers to advance SSB tech, and recently opened a material prototyping center in Belgium that supports all the steps in SSB production, from formulation to testing. Total emissions over the lifetime of an electric vehicle are considerably lower than those of an internal combustion engine.
