The Dearman transport refrigeration system combines cryogenic refrigeration with a Dearman engine and a downsized vapor compression refrigeration cycle, giving it several decisive advantages. The technology will replace diesel-powered secondary engines used to power (TRUs), which are used to keep food cold on the road.
