Purpose-built electric bikes and e-bike conversions using hub-motors are now commonplace. That got me thinking, how hard would it be, and how much would it cost, to do a simple conversion now? Well now there’s an easy way to do it in the form of a conversion kit that takes an e-bike and turns it into something of a snowmobile with the inclusion of a snow track kit. There doesn’t appear to be a battery included in the kit, though it does look like a controller comes mounted on the rear assembly. Tank tracks!”

On the way there, I made a pit stop at a gas station to buy a bottle of champagne as a gift, hoping to start out a conversation with a stranger on the right foot. The gasoline engine only runs in reversing to power the batteries. The hybrid battery pack will need servicing but it depends on a bunch of factors.

EV Grinning, we have just completed our conversion from gas to electric, two weeks ago the Fiero passed it's safety test with no problems. miles) The range and speed performance is not bad for used UPS (uninterrupted power supply) batteries from a computer back up system. We had the car licensed and plated the following week.

Conversions are mostly for the Prius, with a few for the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner hybrid SUVs. PHEVs with "Good Enough to Get Started" batteries. The nonprofit CalCars does conversions to demonstrate new designs and provide a platform for different batteries; we dont sell conversions.
