Ballard will also provide M-Field with engineering services support into early-2015 through Dantherm Power A/S, the company’s subsidiary in Denmark, to assist in optimizing system integration activities utilizing Ballard fuel cell stacks. The agreement has a value of approximately $1 million.

Hyundai called the ix35 Fuel Cell its “halo vehicle” in the Blue Drive sub-brand, the badge worn by Hyundai’s cleanest vehicles, including Sonata Hybrid, i20 Blue Drive and BlueOn, Hyundai’s battery-powered i10. Hyundai has already signed contracts with cities in Denmark and Sweden to lease the ix35 Fuel Cell to municipal fleets.

A hydrogen-powered version of Hyundai’s Tucson sport utility vehicle has already appeared in southern California showrooms. In August 2014, Hyundai’s ix35 fuel cell model was driven a record distance for a hydrogen-powered production car on a single tank, covering 435 miles across three Scandinavian countries.

Volt like hybrids are the intermediate future between hydrogen or fast charging electric cars. If our country is going to spend money like a drunk sailor we should have spent it on building renewable energy power plants like Wind and Geothermal. So I think its a safe bet for GM. assuming electric cars actually have a future.
