Baltimore tunnel and the Dugout Loop in Los Angeles. Baltimore project, a spokesperson from the Federal Highway Administration has stated that The Boring Company has not given the agency any indications that it intends to move forward with the project. A conditional permit for the initiative was later granted by state officials.

The near-term investment strategy seeks to: Advance new express high-speed corridor services (operating speeds above 150 mph (241 km/h) on primarily dedicated track) in select corridors of 200-600 miles (322-966 km).
