By late summer, the Federal Railroad Administration will begin awarding the first round of grants. The near-term investment strategy seeks to: Advance new express high-speed corridor services (operating speeds above 150 mph (241 km/h) on primarily dedicated track) in select corridors of 200-600 miles (322-966 km).
