The Van Hool plant in Morristown (Tennessee, USA) is expected to start building buses from 2022. The upgrade is available for the full range of Euro 6 hybrid buses. The Van Hool factory in Macedonia is building 900 buses this year; the factory is designed for an annual capacity of 1,000 buses.

Volvo announced it’s delaying the EX30 launch in the US as it ramps up production in Belgium. Volvo EX30 Cloud Blue and Vapour Grey (Source: Volvo) Annwall suggested the US-bound EX30 could come from Belgium. Volvo already announced plans to build the EX30 in Ghent, Belgium, to meet the demand, but not until 2025.

With “above-expected order rates,” Volvo will build the EX30 at its Ghent, Belgium plant (in addition to China) to meet the growing demand in Europe for low-cost EVS. In December, Volvo began deliveries in Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal in one of the most highly anticipated EV rollouts.
