Honda’s Insight hybrid was Japan’s 10 th -best-selling new car in February, excluding minicars, according to figures from the Japan Automobile Dealers Association. Honda received more than 15,000 orders for the Insight, which was launched that month.

Honda will unveil the Honda Insight Prototype at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January as the precursor to the new third-generation 2019 Honda Insight—an upscale, stylish five-passenger sedan positioned above the Civic in Honda’s passenger car lineup.

Toyota’s Prius was the top-selling car in Japan in June for the second month in a row, with sales of 22,292 units—3.58 times June 2008 results of 6,231 units— according to data from the Japan Automobile Dealers Association (JADA). In April, the Honda Insight had been the top-seller—the first hybrid to be such—with 10,481 units.

Honda Motor Co., will participate in the 19 th World ITS Congress from 22–26 October 2012 with a demonstration of automobile and motorcycle V2X communication—how its vehicles can communicate both with each other and with road-side infrastructure to benefit road safety, the environment, driver comfort and convenience.

Success doesn’t come much more resounding than this – one out of every 10 new cars sold in Japan during November was a Toyota Prius. The vehicle maintained its top spot in Japan new passenger car sales for the seventh month in a row, posting 26,815 units according to data from the Japan Automobile Dealers Association.

Mirror, mirror on the wall… which is the greenest car of all? That’s the verdict of Germany’s VCD Automobile Club’s annual list of the most environmentally friendly vehicles, which only served to highlight Toyota’s dominance in the sector. Honda took the bronze medal place with its Insight Hybrid.
