June saw plugin EVs at 90.9% share of Norway’s auto market, up from 89.9% Full electrics increased their share to 82.2%, with plugin hybrid share diminishing to 8.7%. Overall auto volume was 15,566 units, up 4.5% share in June, full battery electrics (BEVs) contributed 82.2%, with plugin hybrids (PHEVs) at 8.7%.

Norway increased its plugin electric vehicle market share to 91.1% The auto market is still settling down after policy changes that came in at the start of the year. Overall auto volume was 8,976 units, down 7.7% plugin hybrids (PHEVs). Recall that new tax changes have applied from January 1st. year-on-year.

Norway’s auto market saw plugin EV volume explode to take 87.6% share in December, with huge numbers of BEVs registered, and overall auto volumes double those of seasonal norms. The freak volume in December 2022 resulted from one-off pull-forward effects ahead of new policies and auto taxes applying from 2023 onwards.

Sweden’s auto market saw plugin electric vehicle share continue to grow strongly in December, reaching a record 74.6%, up from 60.7% Overall, auto volume for the month was up 28% year on year, but still 18% down from December 2019. December’s combined plugin share of 74.6% plugin hybrids (PHEVs).
