I don’t particularly love the absence of Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, either. The onboard navigation did not account for this, so I quickly called up Google Maps and rerouted myself around the delay. After all, being a full-time auto journalist doesn’t pay well enough to afford a vehicle like this.

The Union of Concerned Scientists documents that an ICE vehicle in Ohio must maintain an average of 60 mpg to equal the emissions used to produce what’s needed to run an EV for the same distance. Anyhow, it’s rather interesting that while most of the auto industry has been veering toward crossovers and SUVs for the past two decades, the most popular electric vehicles by far are, functionally, sedans. The infotainment is all Google based as in most Volvos, but it seems to have improved since the last time I’ve used it.
