BYD Company Limited, one of China’s fastest growing auto manufacturers, will establish the US headquarters of three separate operating divisions in the City of Los Angeles. BYD’s plug-in hybrid F3DM went on sale (for fleet operators) late last year, and it’s supposed to launch its first all-electric model — the E6 — in the second half of 2009. In February, China’s Chery Automobile unveiled an electric concept car at the Detroit Auto Show. and EU buyers.

The MNCs - Hyundai, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, MG, Skoda - all sold 62,778 units. I really get pissed off when auto magazines and mainstream media look at EV sales and then say electric cars are the problem. BYD have started selling the e6 passenger and cargo vans with their blade battery. The numbers must be in the few hundreds.
