In the 1990s, batteries had far less capacity than they do today, and for the small community of EV users, the prospect of running out of juice and becoming stranded was very real. And the auto industry had just canceled the battery EV.

Ignorance is bliss (at least Australia is moving to more renewables for power generation!). That said, if that’s your typical daily commute, it’s easy to see how plugging in overnight would give you all the juice you need. Now reset, I go to put it in the Taycan’s still open DC port. More good news today.

" President Obamas auto task force doesnt see it that way. If our country is going to spend money like a drunk sailor we should have spent it on building renewable energy power plants like Wind and Geothermal. A simple, clean, efficient EV that wont run out of juice because of its on-board gas generator. thats right.
