As the number of electric vehicles on the world’s roads explodes, electric utilities are grappling with increasing demand while simultaneously having to stabilize their grids where more intermittent renewable-energy sources like wind and solar are coming online. That’s the promise of vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology.

No less an auto industry titan as Ford has also made bidirectional charging a selling point of their F-150 Lightning electric truck, reportedly slated to roll off the lines this year. Just as there is an Apple ecosystem, so with home and EV battery systems you could wind up with a Ford setup, a Tesla setup, or a VW setup.

Plugging into the California electric grid today would lower the carbon emission of cars tremendously. Choice is what we want.

Electric Cars and The Volt Can Transform America and the Auto Industry TODAY!!! Also, power plants will reduce emissions overtime making electric cars cleaner per vehicle once the stationary source that powers the vehicle gets cleaner.
