A 40 kW charging station fills a battery up to 80% in 45 minutes. Approximately nine hours are needed for a full charge with 220V AC. With the relevant battery maintenance, the 36 kWh rechargeable battery only loses around 15% of its ca-pacity after ten years and around 2,000 charging cycles.

At 48 volts, a VTES electric supercharger will transform 7kW of battery power into a highly boosted charge of air for downsized gasoline and diesel engines. The company has commissioned AVL to build the demonstrator, which is currently undergoing final shake-down trials in Austria in readiness for evaluation by vehicle manufacturers.

The flywheel is downsized to give a continuum between shift of gears, else unlike a ICE engine, when you take your leg off the pedal, the motor goes zero torque when you are re-engaging gears. ARAI homologation work is going on - but electric tractor standards are still WIP at ARAI. So we have a clutch that connects to a huge flywheel.
