The first green hydrogen project will be an integrated facility and is set to be connected to an existing ammonia plant in Chirchiq, 45 kilometers from Tashkent, the country’s capital. The project is expected to generate 3,000 tonnes of green hydrogen a year. These projects are the first of their kind in the Central Asian country.

Phillips 66 and H2 Energy Europe have closed on a 50-50 joint venture to set up and operate a network of hydrogen refueling retail sites in Germany, Austria and Denmark. The new company plans to develop approximately 250 hydrogen refueling stations by 2026.
