Will it come to Australia? In some form possibly , especially since Tesla reduced the external dimensions of the Cybertruck, making it more likely for export markets such as Australia. Tesla previously took $150 refundable pre-orders in Australia, but it has since stopped taking them. The big question is timing.

We bleated away like blind sheep, buying Ford EcoSports at twice the rate we did Souls in 2019, the last year it was sold in Australia. With that horror show of a Blue Oval mini SUV trouncing the Soul’s 485 sales that year, no wonder Kia Australia pulled it after a decade of trying.

Kia Australia would only confirm it would “launch in Australia in 2025,” but the above timings hint it would be early next year. The EV3’s design has thankfully stayed true to the concept pictures, meaning it’s a fun-sized EV9 equivalent. 2024 Kia EV3 GT-Line – like a fun-sized EV9.

In fact, it’s outright one of the cheapest new vehicles you can now buy in Australia.
