Volkswagen Group (which includes VW, Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini and Bentley in the U.S.) has fully embraced EVs and, after years of teasing with snazzy concepts, the real hardware is for sale–and is selling well.

Ignoring the briefly popular commercial electrics around at the turn of the last century, EVs have been experimental concepts or limited edition runs until relatively recently. GM is bringing back the Hummer brand as an EV within the GMC brand. I’m hoping for the latter. It’s certainly the opposite of what Harley-Davidson is doing.

Alfa Romeo Tonale – the Italian brand finally has a rechargeable car in its ranks in the form of the Tonale PHEV compact SUV. Aston Martin DBX PHEV and EV – electrified versions of AM’s first SUV on the cards. No surprises there are promises of big performance for a PHEV due late in 2022 or early 2023.
