These zoning decisions blow in whatever direction the development winds are gusting in the city at the moment and there is no consistency, logic or equity in the decisions made. I just read the article in the June/July issue of Homepower magazine written by two firemen who have solar panels on their roofs. They’re my heroes.

He envisioned “hundreds of thousands” of charging spots, as well as a number of stations where drained batteries could be exchanged for fresh ones. Charge, drain, repeat is extremely inefficient. We definitely need an urban charging grid if the electric car is to find a place in town, where it’s needed most.

Finally, in a first-of-its-kind partnership in the United States, Mitsubishi announced a strategic alliance with Oregon to develop an electric car charging infrastructure in the state. The big problems now is how to create a battery that can charge rapidly and infrastructure to charge them. If you charge with solar, is way less.
