Odyne Systems, LLC has delivered seven trucks featuring the Odyne plug-in hybrid propulsion system to utilities and municipalities throughout Wisconsin. The new units are anticipated to deliver fuel efficiency over a conventional truck of up to 50% annually, depending upon the use of the truck. Manufactured by DUECO, Inc.

Virent’s SAK fuel blend met all test requirements and the report concluded that the fuel “ …offers the potential to be [a] drop-in fuel and hence achieve approval for use for the aviation industry ”. Virent produced the renewable SAK fuel in its pilot demonstration plant in Madison, Wisconsin.

The second ( DTMA-91-R-2013-0009 ) will award up to $500,000 for a comprehensive study on the issues associated with the bunkering (supplying a ship with fuel) of LNG for marine vessels. Projects that will be funded under the RFP include engine conversion/retrofits; the use of alternative fuels; or the use of alternative technologies.
