Auto EV mode allows the computer to decide if the vehicle runs on gasoline or electricity. While some SUVs have numb steering, reducing road feel, this was not the case with the Escape PHEV, as there was never a time or situation where we felt disconnected from the tires and the road, including feeling planted around sweeping turns.
