A core group of 15 commercial airlines has signed non-binding memoranda of understanding (MOUs) for negotiating purchases from two different producers of synthetic jet fuel: AltAir Fuels LLC and RenTech Inc. AltAir Fuels LLC was formed in 2008 to develop projects for the production of jet fuel from renewable and sustainable oils.

Benefits of electric over diesel. Electric buses have no oil to change, spark plugs to check, or emission guidelines that regulate them. Electric schools buses are more expensive than diesel ones. However, numerous programs want to reduce that burden for school districts by offering assistant to offset the purchase prices.
