New solid hydrogen-on-demand fuel cell from HES Energy Systems flies UAV for record 6 hours

Green Car Congress

The Skyblade 360 fuel cell system developed by HES and DSO is extremely lightweight in comparison to lithium batteries that typically power this aircraft, and it is also extremely compact: its 1L fuel cartridge holds 1000 Wh of usable energy. It took HES several years to achieve this performance.

A closer look at graphite—its forms, functions and future in EV batteries

Charged EVs

Its physical structure allows it to store lithium ions. There are three main forms of graphite: spherical graphite is used in non-EV battery applications, whereas EV batteries use a blend of coated spherical graphite and synthetic graphite. Some advanced designs use a small amount of silicon, which can store more energy.
