Sweden’s plugin electric vehicle share reached 55.7% Full electrics grew share strongly, whilst plugin hybrids lost share slightly. April’s combined plugin result of 55.7% full battery electrics (BEVs), and 22.1% plugin hybrids (PHEVs). We will have to see what happens to plugin volume after that.

Sweden’s plugin electric vehicles took almost 60% of the auto market in March, up from 55.6% March’s combined plugin share of 59.9% plugin hybrids (PHEVs). Excepting the potential of anomalous logistics events, it is unlikely that non-plugins will ever get near to 50% share of the market again (and soon, 40% will be a stretch).

June saw plugin EVs at 24.6% to 18.9%, the share of plugin hybrids halved, however, after incentives were cut. With combined plugin EVs at 24.6% share in June, full electrics (BEVs) contributed 18.9%, and plugin hybrids (PHEVs) contributed 5.7%. share in Germany, down from 26.0% year on year.
