Only last year, Tesla beat BYD company from China, delivering more than 800,000 electric vehicles towards the end of 2019, while BYD lagged at about 700,000. Another aspect that would have been a tie-breaker for Tesla, even if its numbers hadn’t surpassed BYD, was the fact that it only produces electric cars.

But it is a price that must be paid, and GM should be commended for remaining committed to the Volt. They leased a few (at a loss) to those that could afford it. Not really sure where all the money is going, but it seems like the Volt is already over-priced and under performing. The Obama Administration doesnt understand that.
