Regardless of quality/price/mileage. The Acura RSXs that show up here are indicative of that. Part of that is the $29,000 price tag -- I think I'd buy a new car first. As always, I try to pick used cars of the day that you, the B and B, would find interesting. But sometimes my biases show.

Brands here included Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Cadillac, Ram, Lexus, GMC, Subaru, Mini, and Acura. The next group encompassed the $6,000-8,000 bracket over 10 years.

It’s less boy-racer than the Honda Civic Type R and slightly more civilized than the Subaru WRX but not as commuter-friendly as the Volkswagen Jetta GLI or Acura Integra A-Spec. Personal preference and price may be a bigger purchase driver than performance numbers, and if so, the Elantra N deserves a look.

The official price tag for the 1986 325es was $21,950, which comes to about $60,450 now. Honda had just begun selling the Acura Integra in 1986; its power-to-weight ratio beat the 325es (20.6 lb/hp power-to-weight ratio thanks to its screaming V6 engine, great Italian looks and a sticker price of only $16,500 ($45,441 today).
