Rivian on Thursday provided the most significant future-product preview since the debut of its R1 series trucks at the 2018 LA auto show. The 2024 Nissan Leaf is eligible for an EV tax credit of $3,750, the automaker confirmed mid-week.

Aoyama underscored that Acura is being handled differently, though. Acura is bringing back a badge last used for a gasoline model for its upcoming Acura ZDX EV.

The 2024 Acura ZDX is the Honda premium brand’s first-ever electric vehicle, a midsize crossover SUV with five seats. Visually it’s every inch an Acura, and it’s very close in size to the brand’s bestselling model, the MDX midsize crossover. The ZDX A-Spec with AWD comes in between those ranges, at 304 miles.
