Compact car class customers can look forward to two fully electric compact SUVs in the EQA and EQB in 2021. EQA will celebrate its world premiere on January, 20 2021 as the first fully electric derivative of this compact car. The EQA production launch at the Mercedes-Benz Rastatt plant went smoothly.

R Pikes Peak in June 2018 and, with a time of 7:57.148 minutes, became the first driver in over 100 years of this iconic race to go under eight minutes. The current record for fully-electric vehicles stands at 6:45.90 —François-Xavier Demaison. He won the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with the ID.

Continental has signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with NIO, a global electric vehicle startup. In a first step, Continental will supply vehicle technology such as air suspension systems and tires to NIO’s ES8 electric SUV. Cars of the future will feature electric drives, which will be fully connected and automated.

Audi’s e-tron quattro battery-electric SUV concept, which made its formal debut at IAA in Frankfurt ( earlier post ), is a strong indicator of Audi’s series-production electric SUV due in 2018—especially in terms of the powertrain. However, we can use many of the existing platform systems for the future.

Fully electric vehicles will run across the BMW Group portfolio and MINI will showcase its take on future personal mobility in the city with the North American premiere of the MINI Electric Concept. starting in May 2018. The BMW M3 CS accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 174 mph.
