UPS updates 125 Workhorse E-GEN series hybrid electric step vans with smaller genset engine for better fuel economy

The updated trucks, which were originally purchased in September 2015, deliver up to four times the fuel economy of a gasoline-powered vehicle, UPS said. The trucks will be deployed in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Nevada, Ohio and Texas later this year. The smaller engine will improve fuel economy, however.

Honda begins taking orders for NSX hybrid supercar in Japan; starting at US$236,000

Customer delivery will begin on 27 February 2017. The purchase and servicing of the all-new NSX will be supported by “NSX Performance Dealers” which are selected from the existing Honda Cars network throughout Japan. Honda Motor Co., Pricing starts at ¥23,700,000 (~US$236,000). Honda is targeting sales of 100 units in the first year.

Clean Energy to build new CNG stations for multiple transit agencies and large school district; agreements with trucking, refuse and others

Completion of the new station is expected for summer 2017. The North Kansas City School District will replace 124 school buses with new CNG buses with an option to purchase an additional 30 over the next 10 years. Clean Energy currently supports another 100 CNG buses at an additional station and provides a total of 4.6 Schlosser Co.
