In 2017, Japan became the first country in the world to release a national hydrogen strategy. But it hasn’t been steady progress. That seems to be the new trend.

The Auto Alliance has sent a letter to EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt requesting that the US Environmental Protection Agency withdraw the Final Determination on the Appropriateness of the Model Year 2022-2025 Light-Duty Vehicle Greenhouse Gas Emissions Standards under the Midterm Evaluation which EPA announced on 13 January 2017.

EPA and NHTSA had, up until recently, been consistently transparent about the timeline for joint midterm evaluation: a proposed rule and proposed determination expected in summer 2017, with a final NHTSA and EPA rule by 1 April 2018.
