Ford China broke sales records for a third consecutive month in November. Led by strong sales of the Ford Focus—the best-selling passenger car in China from August through October—Ford sold 67,505 wholesale vehicles last month, a 56% increase compared to November 2011. Ford China’s year-to-date sales are now up 18%.

Ford China posted a 32% sales increase in July 2012, with 42,560 wholesale units sold. Total Ford-brand passenger cars sales—which include the imported Ford Edge—are up 50% in July, at 27,498 units. At Beijing’s Auto China 2012, Ford unveiled three new SUVs for China: the EcoSport, Kuga and Explorer.

Some haven’t proved as popular as hoped ( Mazda MX-30 ) while some owners may have simply decided, in a few months of ownership, that an EV isn’t for them.

Ford’s China passenger car joint venture, Changan Ford Mazda Automotive Ltd. CFMA) posted record sales of 34,550 wholesale Ford-brand cars in May 2012, a 23% increase compared to May 2011. The Focus is the first of 15 new vehicles Ford will bring to China by 2015.
