The suggested retail price for the Volt will start at $39,995 (or $32,495 assuming a full federal tax credit of $7,500, which is subject to the customer’s eligibility). The price includes an $850 destination freight charge but excludes tax, title and license fees.

Tesla and GM both exceeded the state’s 200,000-unit sales cap on rebates. 379,125 plug-in hybrids (26%).

I heard today that they expect to have 5,000 Nissan EVs for sale by the end of 2010. It is expected they will expand production quickly to the tens of thousands in 2011. The one question about whether the lessees can take the $7,500 tax credit is still to be determined.
