The sedan and the five-door Fiesta hatchback are both built at the Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Company manufacturing facility in Nanjing. Pre-sale demand for the car in China has exceeded Ford’s expectations, with several thousand Chinese consumers placing orders ahead of the official launch.

Chinese automaker BYD may have been founded in 2003, but it wasn’t until 2008 that it garnered mainstream attention when Berkshire Hathaway, led by Warren Buffet, bought a 10 per cent stake in its parent company. The company hopes to begin selling the Fisker Karma in mid 2010 in Europe. Fisker Automotive.

GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010. Committed to sales of 10,000 or more vehicles in late 2010, with increasing production in 2011. todays answer is "Yes -- but not yet."

Why hes banking on an obscure Chinese electric car company and a CEO who - no joke - drinks his own battery fluid. The E6 will hit the Chinese market later this year.
