Chilled Ammonia Pilot Project Captures 90% of CO2

The project began in early 2008 and will conclude later this year. Units 1 and 2 at the Pleasant Prairie Power Plant (P4) recently were retrofitted with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems to control emissions of nitrous oxides (NO x ) and wet flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems to control sulfur dioxide (SO 2 ) emissions.
