I’m a huge fan of their 2007 publication, “ Working Toward A Greater, Greener Manhattan Beach &# and I’ve been learning a great deal from their city’s presentations at the South Bay Green Task Force meetings I attend. Both the City Police and Fire chiefs are now driving city owned alternative fuel vehicles.

At an event in Sacramento, California, Volvo Trucks announced that it will commercialize dimethyl ether (DME)-powered heavy-duty commercial vehicles in North America, with limited production beginning in 2015. Volvo Truck’s DME announcement comes in the context of many years of alternative fuel and driveline development.
