EcoMotors International, a Khosla-funded startup working to commercialize a diesel opoc (opposed-piston, opposed-cylinder) engine ( earlier post ), has named auto industry veteran Donald Runkle as its new CEO. EcoMotors was founded in 2008 by Prof. Don Runkle.

He states that the auto CEOs were “in bed&# with the green jobs movement and that between 1994 and 2003, General Motors gave Nature Conservancy more than $19million. He points out that California tried fuel cell buses in 2005 and they cost $3million each compared to $328,000 each for diesel buses.
