Out in the desert as part of Burning Man , our encampment, Snow Koan Solar, is setting up a solar photovoltaic EV Charging Station (at 7:30 and Desert) for electric scooters, golf carts, sofas and barstools. Their Rechargeit.org campaign really makes the connections between renewable power and plug-in cars.

The fact that no journalists do their research to bring up all those connections is sad, sad. cheaper (frame, electric motors, battery), lasts longer (less moving parts = less to break and maintain) and just a greater win, more future compatible too. You guys go ahead and buy your 40 mile per charge GM golf cart.
