In a pre-response to that speech, having successfully advocated for plug-in hybrids like the forthcoming Chevy Volt, we propose that the President follow that speech up with a “realistic and conservative” roadmap to halve our oil use in 10 years. Oil is holding us all hostage, economically and physically. Finally, it’s time to begin.

The technology allows the production of high-pressure hydrogen without the need for compression and can use a variety of feedstocks, including renewables. Oil sands operators use Steam Methane Reforming (SMR) to produce hydrogen from natural gas. Western Hydrogen is also targeting the renewable energy market.

Perhaps you should have checked that before posting. as stated. Renewables That Even Coal-Based Utilities Can Love. Individuals and businesses lose months and connect fees when they add solar and other forms of renewable energy to the grid. Annual use of an EV should be less than the average cost of $8,000 per year for using a gasoline in many countries including the USA. Then we are done!
